What do I mean by holistic care? Holistic care treats the whole person, rather than focusing on the symptoms or illness. It emphasises the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being, and seeks to address all aspects of a person’s health to enhance their quality of life.
In practice, holistic care often involves a combination or traditional medical treatments along with complementary therapies like exercise, nutrition and stress management techniques. The goal is to empower individuals to take an active role in their own health adn to support the body’s natural ability to heal.
